Let the salary for October, November and December be O, N and D resp

O/N = 1.5/1.33 = 3*3/2*4 = 9/8

So, let O = 9x and N = 8x

N/D = 2/2.667 = 2*3/8 = 6/8

So, let N = 6y and D = 8y

But 8x = 6y

So, x = 0.75y

So, O = 9*0.75y = 6.75y, N = 6y and D = 8y

But given that 8y = 6.75y + 40

So, 1.25y = 40

So, x = 32

So, O=216, N=192, D=256

So, Bonus = 0.4*(216+192+256)

= 0.4*664

= 265.6
