concave mirror of focal length 12 cm. Find the position of the image.​

position of the image is 12cm away from the mirror and 8cm higher from the focal length

from using the mirror formula 1/f=1/v+1/u

1/12=1/v+1/6

for concave mirror the focal length is negetive and u is also negetive

therefore v=12cm

from the equation u/v=h(object)/h(image )

6/12=4/h(image )

h(image )=8cm

therefore  position of the image is 12cm away from the mirror and 8cm higher from the focal length
