As medium A have refractive index 1.33 and medium B have refractive index 1.5,since we get that Medium A is rarer medium as compared to medium B .Thus in medium A the light will travel faster as compared to medium B.

Moreover As medium B is denser so the light will bend its path towards normal ( perpendicular) to travel in medium. This phenomenon is also known as refraction of light.

Additional detail:-

  • When light travels in rarer medium then it is away from normal and when it travels to denser medium it bends toward normal and change its path.

  • Relative refractive index: When light travels from one medium to another medium, then the refractive index is known as the relative refractive index.

  • Absolute refractive indes: When light travels from vacuum to another medium, then the refractive index is known as the absolute refractive index.

  • A ray of light travelling form a rarer to a denser medium slows down and bends towards normal .When the ray of light travels form a denser to rarer medium, it speeds up and bend away from normal.

  • When speed of light in a medium is smaller ,its refractive index is larger .The medium is said to be optically denser .And when speed of light is larger and ,its refractive index is smaller then the medium is said to be optically rarer.
