Explanation: Dilution of any acid is an exothermic reaction which is to be performed with care.

So, in diluting conc. H2SO4, heat is evolved.

On diluting the concentration of H+ ion decrease and H+ ions forms H30+ (hydronium ion) which results in the evolution of heat.

(H+) +H2O-------->(H3O+) + heat
