C. Read these lines from the poem and answer the questions that follow
I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and
ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I -
took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.
1. What would the speaker tell? Why would he ‘sigh' while 'telling this?
2. Why do you think the poet ends the third line and begins the fourth with I?
What effect does the repetition create?
3. Which word in the quoted lines means 'in the future?

1. In the poem, the road not taken by Robert Frost, the poet takes a sigh because he realizes something. He sighs when he remembers about the road which he had taken. This road was a long and hard one.

2.here lines signify the poet's regret in not being able to travel on the other road. It is also symbolic of all the decisions that are left undone in our lives.
