Answer:

C takes 6 days = 1/2 work

D takes 5 days = 1/3 work

If C works for 4 days in how many days D will complete the work

From the above C takes 12 days to complete the work

And D takes 15 days to complete the work

So per day work of C = 1/12

And per day work of D = 1/15

So, the work of C for 4 days = 1/12 * 4

C for 4 days = 1/3 of the work

Remain work = 1- 1/3= 2/3 of the work

How many days D will takes to complete the remain work which is 2/3

Days of D = 2/3= 2(1/3) = 2(5 days of D= 1/3 work)

So, days of D = 2(5)= 10 days

So, D will takes 10 days to complete the remain work which is 2/3
