Step-by-step explanation:

Given:-

C={x:x€N ,x<10}

D ={x:x €N, x is always multiple of 5}

To find:-

Check whether they are disjoint sets or overlapping sets ?

Solution:-

Given sets :

C={x:x€N ,x<10}

C ={1,2,3, 4, 5, 6,7, 8, 9}---------(1)

and

D ={x:x €N, x is always multiple of 5}

D ={5,10,15,20...}---------(2)

From (1) &(2)

We notice that

The common element in the sets C and D = 5

So C and D are over lapping sets.

Answer:-

C and D are Overlapping sets .

Used Concept:-

Overlapping sets:-

The two sets having at least one element in common then they are called Overlapping sets.

Disjoint sets :-

Two sets having no element in common then they are called Disjoint sets.

If A and B sets are disjoint sets then AnB= { }

n(AnB) = 0.
