Explanation:

When 1-phenyl-prop-2-ene is reacted with hydrogen bromide, the negative part of hydrogen bromide which is bromine goes to the carbon atom which has less number of hydrogen atoms. This rule is known as Markonikov's rule.

It results in the formation of 2-bromo-1-phenyl-propane.
