valency of calcium = 2
valency of hydrogen =1
by crisscross method
Element Ca H
Valency 2 1
formula CaH2
In this compound Ca gives 1 electron each to each Hydrogen atom
and then each hydrogen atom completes its duplet
Ca now has an octet (because calcium loses extra two electrons in N to form M shell octet)
HOPE it HELPS
