Hey mate here is your answer.

The temperature of calcium putted into water will increase.

The product formed is calcium hydroxide

After calcium reacts with water, hydrogen gas is released in the reaction. This bubbles of hydrogen gas stick to the surface of the metal. The buoyancy of the gas bubbles lifts the calcium up. Therefore, calcium floats on water.

The reaction of calcium with water is less violent. However, the heat released is not sufficient for the hydrogen to catch fire.

Ca (s) + 2H₂O (l) → Ca(OH)₂ (aq) + H₂ (g)
