Calcium is more reactive than magnesium which in turn is
more reactive than beryllium but bromine, which belongs to
the period of calcium, is less reactive than chlorine which is
present in the period of magnesium and chlorine is less
reactive than fluorine (an element present in the same period
as beryllium). Explain why?

Explanation:

In a reactivity series, the most reactive element is placed at the top and the least reactive element at the bottom. More reactive metals have a greater tendency to lose electrons and form positive ions.

A reactivity series of metals could include any elements.
