Answer:

a)

area of a body (A) = ?

pressure experienced by the body(P)=500 Pa

force applied on the body (F) = 100 N

area of the body (A) :

we know that, P = F/A

=> A = F/P

=> A = 100/500

=> A = 0.2

Hence, area of the body is 0.2 .

b)

pressure experienced (P) = 20000 Pa

area of a body (A) = 1 cm² = 10^-4

[1 cm² = 1/10^-4 ]

Force applied on that body (F) = ?

we know the relation that,

P = F/A

=> F = P X A

=> F = 20000 X 10 ^-4

=> F = 2 N

Hence, 2 N force is applied on the body.

 \bold {\huge {Answer :-}}

⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯

a✭

➛Pressure (P) = 500 Pa

➛Force (F) = 100 N

➛ Area ( A) =?

Since we know that,

\huge{\boxed{\boxed{P = \frac{F}{A}}}}

\Rightarrow\:A =\frac{F}{A}\\putting\:values\\\Rightarrow\:A=\frac{100}{500}\\\Rightarrow\:A=\:0.2 \:\:m^2

Therefore, Area of body is 0.2 m²

⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯

b✭

➛ Pressure exerted, P= 20000 Pa

➛Area of body, A= 1 cm² = 1×10¯⁴ m²

➛Force applied, F =?

Again we know

\huge{\boxed{\boxed{P = \frac{F}{A}}}}

\Rightarrow\:F =P\:\times\:A\\putting\:values\\\Rightarrow\:F=20000\times\:(1\times\:10^{-4}) \\\Rightarrow\:F=\:2 \:\:N

Therefore , the force applied is 2 N
