Heya buddy,
here is your answer,

let the number = x
double of the number = 2×x = 2x
half of the number = x÷2 = x/2

according to the question,

2x = x/2 + 60

=> x/2 = 2x - 60

=> x/2 = 2(x - 30)

=> x/(2×2) = x - 30

=>x/4 = x - 30

=> x/4 - x = -30

=> (x-4x)/4 = -30

=> -3x/4 = -30

=> -3x = -30×4

=> -3x = -120

=> x = -120/-3

=> x = 40

Hence we found that the number (x) is 40.

hope this helps
if you have any further doubt ask me frankly.

thank you
