u = initial velocity = 10m/s

v = final velocity = 25 m/s

t = time = 3 s

a = acceleration and s = displacement

We know,

  • v =u+at

  • a = v-u/t

  • a = 25-10/3

  • a = 5 m/s^2

And,

  • s = ut+1/2 at^2

  • s = 10×3 + 1/2 ×5×900

  • s = 2280 m

And thus this is wrong method to do beacuse in the question its asking distance not displacement. And we know

  • Distance = velocity × time

Hence, distance here will be equal to area under velocity vs time graph.

So, Area = upper triangle+ down square

  • Area = 1/2 × 15×3 + 10×3

  • Area = 52.5 m

So, distance in last 3 sec is 52.5 m ans.
