Given ,

Diameter of soap bubble (d) = 6 cm

Surface tension (T) = 0.04 N/m

We know that , the excess pressure inside a soap bubble is given by

 \boxed{ \sf{Excess \:  pressure \:  (P) =  \frac{4T}{R}}}

Where ,

  • R = radius of soap bubble
  • T = Surface tension

Thus ,

P = 4 × 0.04 / 6 × 10^(-2)

P = 16/6

P = 2.6 N/m²

Therefore ,

★ The excess pressure inside a soap bubble is 2.6 N/m²
