Given:

The wavelength of radiowaves is 1m

To Find:

Frequency of the wave

Solution:

The formula which relates the speed, frequency, and wavelength of the wave is:     ν = v/λ

(Where ν represents frequency, v is the speed of the wave, and λ is its wavelength.)

Since radio wave is a part of the electromagnetic spectrum, its speed is equal to the speed of light(c) = 3 x 10⁸ m/s.

The wavelength, λ = 1m (given)

Putting the values in the equation, we get

ν = (3 x 10⁸/ 1) = 3 x 10⁸ Hz

Hence, the frequency of radio waves whose wavelength is 1m is

3 x 10⁸ Hz

Note: The SI unit of frequency is Hertz (Hz)

Calculate frequency of Radio waves whose wave length is 1m

Given :

wavelength = λ=1m

velocity of light  in vacuum= C= 3x10⁸ m/s

To find : Frequency=f=?

Formula : Velocity  =V= fxλ

f= V/λ

Note : Since Radio waves are part of Electro Magnetic spectrum , So it speed is equal to speed of light in vacuum.

=3x10⁸ m/s/1

= 3x 10 ⁸ Hertz.

∴ The  frequency of Radio waves whose wave length is 1m is 3x 10 ⁸ Hertz.
