GMM (gram molecular mass) is nothing but the molecular mass of the compound in grams.
Water (H2O) = mass of H2 is 2grams.
Mass of oxygen is 16grams.
Total mass is 16+2=18grams
Potassium chloride(KaCl2)= mass of Ka is 40g and mass of Cl2 is 70g
Total mass of KaCl2 is 110 g
