Acceleration=a

Distance covered in 1s(s1)=3m

t1=1s

s1=u×t1+1/2×a×t1^2

3=u+a/2

2u+a=6....(i)

Distance covered in 2s(s2)=8m

t2=2s

s2=u×t2+1/2×a×t2^2

8=2u+2a....(ii)

Subtracting equation (i) from (ii),

a=2m/s^2

(i)Putting value of a in equation (i),

2u+2=6

Initial velocity=u=2m/s

(ii) Acceleration=a=2m/s^2
