calculate lim x tends to 0 (x+1 )^5-1/x

= lim. (x+1)^5 - 1/x
x-->0

= lim. 5(x+1)^4 /1
x-->0

= 5(0+1)^4

= 5(1)^4

= 5(1)

= 5
