Everybody has some aim in life. It is very important. A life without an aim is like a boat without a rudder. But choosing a career in such a cut throat age of competition is really a difficult task.

Different people have different aims in their life according to their tastes and temperament. Some people want to become technocrats like doctors, engineers, scientists while many want to become bureaucrats like IAS, IPS and IFS.

ADVERTISEMENTS:

Some dream to become educationists, while for others politics holds great attraction. A few are lured to pursue their career in anti-social activities. There are people who have a craze to become poets, writers and novelists. To say, different people, different choices.

I am not a highly ambitious man. I am modest by nature. I do not want to be a multi-millionaire. The profession of teaching has been very attractive to me. This has been my childhood dream. The sole aim of my life is to serve the society to become a good citizen. To me teaching appears to be the best way to serve the society.

I belong to the lower middle class of society. Naturally, I have to face several difficulties in my life. The difficulties encountered during the journey of my life made me realise that lack of education is the biggest problem to which I will devote my life to spread literacy to every nook and corner of society so as to remove the darkness of illiteracy. It is a shame that one-fourth of our population still do not know how to read and write even after over six decades of independence. In terms of women education, the picture is all the more gloomy. Unless we are educated we cannot make all around progress.

I would be particularly sensitive to the needs of the weaker sections of society. I would work hard to bring change in their lives. When this section of society is educated, we will have a totally different society. There will be no superstitions when they will be educated. I will always be available to attend their queries whatever arise. I will arrange extra classes for those who find it difficult to keep pace with the regular class.

ADVERTISEMENTS:

I am fully aware that I’ll have to face lots of hardships. A teacher’s life is hard. He does not command the respect he deserves. This profession is looked down upon as of a lowly status. A teacher’s life is full of drudgery. I will not be concerned for the earnings. I will try my best to make the students good citizens. I will help them in broadening their outlook. I’ll groom their personality and shape their characters. I’ll try to inculcate in them good moral values. So that India have good citizens to take it on the path of progress and prosperity in which everyone has a dignified life full of equality of opportunities. According to great educationist and our former president Dr. S. Radhakrishnan, “Teachers are the custodians of the highest values.”

                      My Aim In Life

My aim is to become an army officer who has all the abilities and capabilities required to serve my country in the best possible manner. I know it is quite a challenging aim. But I am going to devote my entire energy and resources to achieve it. The first and foremost thing I have to do is learn time management. I must utilize my every passing moment in a manner that will take me closer to my aim. The second most important thing I have to do is being self-disciplined. I must have complete control over my mind, body, and soul. The third most important thing i have to do is train my mind, body, and soul through reading, exercise, and meditation.

After becoming an army officer, I will serve my country with heart, body, mind and soul. I will undergo special training to be invincible. I will try to master the latest and most advanced combat skills. I will join the Special Forces team. I will have all the high tech weapons, ammunition, surveillance, reconnaissance equipment; and I will request my officers to post me at the most critical places where terrorists infiltrate or carry out their nefarious secret deeds. I along with the team of my special commando soldiers will hunt them all down and bring them to justice. I along with my fellow soldiers will create such an impregnable wall of security along the borders of hostile neighbouring countries, that none of them will dare to cross the border. If needed, I will go to other countries where terrorists might be actively hiding to kill innocent people in sudden suicide attacks, I will go to those countries; and working with the special forces of those countries, I will hunt those hiding terrorists down and eliminate them.

And during peaceful times, I will go on exchange training programs with other advanced countries, and further hone my combat skills. I will always stay ahead of the terrorists or the enemy country forces in all fighting skills. I will always keep myself fit through rigorous physical, mental, and weapon wielding skills. I will ensure that my country people lived in perfect safety.

During emergencies, I will volunteer myself in rescue operations such as floods, quakes, etc. I will also go to schools and start a special training programme for school children to involve them in nation’s safety and security programmes. I will invite school children to military training academies and integrate military training with school education programmes. There are some very advanced countries where compulsory military training is mandatory for each and every child or citizen of that country. I will start similar training program in my country also.
