•India is a land of festivals. Though many festivals are celebrated each year ,some are specially loved by children. Christmas is one of those festivals, for which children wait till the end of the year.
•Now, lets have a brief introduction about this Christmas. Christmas is basically a Christian festival celebrated each year on 25 th December among billions if people throughout the world. Many of us are aware of the reason behind its celebration. On this day,the almighty Jesus Christ was born in Bethlehem. Although he was born as simple boy,actually he was himself the God, who came on earth to help those in distress.
•On this day,the Christians go to the church and light the candle in front of almighty Jesus and Mary to show their love,respect and gratitude towards them. Secondly, it is also observed as a gift exchanging and greeting day, and many times family gatherings as well as feastings are held.
•Curiousness arises when the question comes how is it celebrated? This question brings a shine in the eyes and big smile on the faces of children, for they know that this day is specially for them.usually on this day,the children get gifts and surprises, which are believed to have been given by the beloved Santa Claus. Santa Claus is basically an imaginary person,who is believed to give gifts to children on the occasion of Christmas. There's a story behind Santa Claus. ...wanna know?
•Well,long ago there was a man named Nicholas. He was a very true and kind person and he couldn't see anyone in distress.once, he was going somewhere, and he saw an emotional sight. A small girl was asking for a toy from her mother, on a shop but as they were poor, her mother refused her and told her to go home.the girl became very sad and started crying in an extreme way.then, they went home.
•Nicholas, as he was true by heart, couldn't bear the sight of a cute innocent girl crying, and so he decided to bring a smile on her face. So,he brought the toy and dressed up in red clothes (so as to hide his identity) and went to that girl's home and gave her the toy.when she asked about him, he replied that he is Santa Claus.from, this day onwards, it is believed that Santa Claus, give gifts to children on Christmas night, though this actually does not happen.still it raises a curiosity in the minds of the little children,who thinks that Santa will really come!
•Christmas! As soon as we hear this word,we are lost in the thoughts of a cold snowy night. ....,stars twinkling brightly in the sky...,with Santa Claus coming on his reindeer through the sky. ...,and the background music bring played by jingle bells......! Isn't it? We just start thinking about the gifts and surprises, which we are gonna get. But is this the real meaning of Christmas....?? No! It is just our imagination. Do the poor children ever get any gifts? Do they enjoy Christmas like us? Obviously no! Gifts is infact a something very high for them to desire ,they don't even get proper good to eat or proper clothes to wear.oh!such a miserable life !Christmas means just nothing for them ,simply because they can't enjoy it.

•But christmas is a time of love,joy, happiness and celebration. so,what if we try to help those poor people, by whatever we can do..?even a little help doesn't go waste.a simple gift may mean really lot in their life.what if we make their life a little more joyful, a little more colourful and a little more happy on this day? For this, simply we can give them some food,some clothes,some gifts or any other thing which we feel comfortable according to us.will this cost too much? No, it isn't too much! And believe me, if you really do this, this will not only be a great blessing and help for those people but also it will give us a great sense of inner happiness and satisfaction,coz we have brought a smile on someone's face.and bringing a smile on someone's face isn't everyone's cup of tea! !!!

But have you ever thought that we can make beautiful decorations even from the waste, instead of buying from markets.for instance ,we can make flowers and leaves from coloured papers or tissue papers.even, we can make some designs or drawings on coloured papers and hang them to give an attractive appearance. In addition, we can create balls from papers.also,we can make some decorations like chains or hanging ropes using ribbons.these are the things which can be made very easily using waste and unused things and, moreover we then don't need to buy brittle and expensive things from local shops and market.
•So, I would like to wish all the brainly users and the entire brainly community, a very happy and merry Christmas,may all of your dreams come true,may you succeed in your lives and your life may become as merrier as the sounds of jingle bells. I would like to conclude by these words :
