m = 16/40*1000/100

m = 4molal

Molarity = Number of moles / Amount of solution ( In litres )


NaOH molar mass = 23 + 16 + 1 = 40 g


=> Number of moles in 16g = 16g / 40 g = 0.4 mole


Amount of water = 0.1 litres


Molarity = 0.4 Mole / 0.1Litres


=> Molarity = 4 M
