6.3 percentage aq. solution of HNO3

Mass of solute = 6.3 g

Mass of solvent (water) = 100-6.3= 93.7 g

No. of moles of solute (HNO3) = given mass/ molar mass = 6.3/ 63 = 0.1

No. of moles of solvent (H2O) = 93.7/ 18 = 5.2

Mole fraction of solute = 0.1/ 0.1+ 5.2 = 0.0189

Mole fraction of solvent = 1 - 0.0189 = 0.9811
