Mole fraction:
Mole fraction is a ratio of mole of solute or solvent to the total number of moles (mole of solute + moles of solvent) or number of mole of solution.
Number of moles = amount in g / molar mass
Chloroform
Number of mole = 5 g / 119.38 g/mol
=0.042 moles
Moles of ethanol = 45 g/ 46.08 g/ mole
= 0.98 moles
Total number of mole s= 0.042+ 0.98 mole s= 1.022 moles
Mole fraction of CHCl3 = 0.042 /1.022= 0.041
Mole fraction of C2H5OH = 0.98 /1.022= 0.959
