Hey folk...

------------------------------------------------------
Let us assume total given mass = 100g

Now, we have 24.8g of HCl.

Molecular mass of HCl = 36.45g.

No. of moles = 24.8 / 36.45  =  0.68 moles

Volume of water we have = 100-24.8 = 75.2g

Moles of water we have = 75.2 / 18 = 4.18 moles

MOLE FRACTION OF HCl = (Moles of HCl) / (Total moles) = 0.68 / (0.68+4.18)
                                                                                           = 0.14
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

thank you

Answer:

moles of HCl=1+35•5=36•5

mole of H2O=18

No of moles of HCl = 24•8÷35•6=0•67

mass of H2O=100-24•8=75•2

moles of water=75•2÷18=4•17

mole fraction of HCl=0•67÷0•67+4•17=0•138

mole fraction of water=4•17÷0•67+4•84=0•3438
