the no of electrons= the no of protons provided there is no ion formation

so we can write the no of electrons=17 (no ion transfer or charge stated in the question}

the no of neutrons in chlorine= 18 becuz we know that the mass number of chlorine is 35

mass no= no of proton+ no of neutrons
