Calculate pH of 250 ml (100) solution containing 6 (.0040) gram acetic acid.

Dissociation constant of acetic acid is 1.8 × 10⁻⁵

Using the compound molar mass = 60.05 g mol-1

6 * 1 mole of acetic acid / 60.05 = .099 moles of acetic acid

Molarity, 1L * 10^3/1L * .099/250 = .396 moles acetic acid

Hence, pH = log [acetic acid]

pH = log[.396]
