Calculate
preparation of oxalic acid per 1 molar
Answers
Answer:
Oxalic acid is a dibasic acid and available in crystalline form as (COOH)2 .2 H20. This is taken as primary standard for acids as it can be weighed accurately.
Equivalent weight of Oxalic acid = (Molecular weight / 2) = (126 / 2) = 63 g
To prepare 1000 ml of 1 N Oxalic acid solution, the amount of oxalic acid required = 63 g.
Therefore, to prepare 1000 ml of 0.1 N Oxalic acid solution, the amount of oxalic acid required = 6.3 g.

0.1 what exactly? If it's 0.1 Molar solution then there should be 0.1 moles or 12.6g of oxalic acid( hydrous)in the oxalic acid solution with water. That means dissolve 12.6g of oxalic acid in your solvent until the final volume of the solution becomes 1litre. For normality instead of 12.6 there should be 6.3g of oxalic acid in the final 1litre solution.

1 mole of oxalic acid means molecular weight gram of acid (90 g = 1 mol ). If you dissolve 90 g of acid in 1 liter of water then it will be 1 normal (N). To make 0.1 N you need to dissolve 9 g of oxalic acid in 1 liter. If you want to make 1 Molar acid you should dissolve 90 g of acid in 1 kg of water.

We will take 1.26 gram of oxalic acid and will add it in 100ml of water and will sure that all the oxalic acid is mixed in water. The solution will be point one molar of oxalic acid

63g of oxalic acid 1000ml of solvent gives 1N solution of oxalic acid.
Therfore, 6. 3g in 1000ml gives 0.1N oxalic acid solution.
