Solution:

Given,

  • The car starting from rest
  • Final Velocity = 60 m/s
  • Initial velocity = 0 m/s. ( ∵ The body starts from rest )
  • Time taken = 0.05 h = 180s

To find,

  • Acceleration of car

Using the formula

a = v - u/t

Where

  • a : acceleration
  • v : final velocity
  • t : time
  • u : final velocity

→ a = 60 - 0/180

→ a = 60/180

→ a = 1/3

a = 0.33 m/

Hence , acceleration of car = 0.33 m/s²

Given:

Initial velocity of car,u= 0 m/s

Final velocity of car,v= 60 m/s

Time taken by car,t= 0.05h

To Find:

Acceleration of the car

Solution:

We know that,

  • According to first equation of motion for constant acceleration,

\purple{\underline{\boxed{\bf{v=u+at}}}}

where,

v is final velocity

u is initial velocity

a is acceleration

t is time taken

\rule{190}{1}

It is given that,

\longrightarrow\rm{t=0.05\ h=0.05\times3600\ s=180\ s}

Let the acceleration of car be a

So, on applying first equation of motion on car, we get

\longrightarrow\rm{v=u+at}

\longrightarrow\rm{60=0+a(180)}

\longrightarrow\rm{60=180a}

\longrightarrow\rm{180a=60}

\longrightarrow\rm{a=\dfrac{60}{180}}

\longrightarrow\rm\green{a=0.33\ m/s^{2}}

Hence, the acceleration of car is 0.33 m/s².
