calculate the amount of c02 liberated when 25 gram by heating 25 gram of caco3

hola mate....here is your answer...


CaCO3 ----> CaO + CO2

1 mol of CaCO3 gives 1 mol of CO2.

then, 25 gm CaCO3, = 25/100 = 1/4 mols.

1/4 mols CaCO3 will give 1/4 mol of CO2

therefore , amount of CO2 A= 1/4 × 44 = 11/2 = 5.5 gm CO2
