Answer:  280 grams

Explanation:

The reaction is

CaCO3 → CaO + CO2

So, One part of Calcium carbonate on heating gives one part of CaO

Since, 1 part has 100g mass, so 500g means 5 parts of calcium carbonate which will yield 5 parts of CaO

Mass of CaO obtained = Molar Mass x 5 = 56 x 5 = 280g
