16g of methane = 1 mole of CH4 as Molecular weight of CH4 is 16

(16 gram/ 16 gram per mole )

So, CH4 + 2O2 → CO2 +2H2O

16 gm + 2* (32 gm) → 80 gm of products (Conservation of mass  but not Moles)

of 80 gm, one mole of CO2 is equivalent to 44 gm ( as MW= 44 gm/mol)

So, 80–44= 36 gm ( 2* 18 gm) of water..........
