Mass of solution= 500g
Mass %=2.5%
We know that,mass % = mass of solute/ mass of solution *100
Here, x/500*100= 2.5
=> x= 12.5. i.e. mass of solute(sugar)=12.5g
Now,mass of solvent(water)= 500-12.5
= 487.5g
