Let ABCD be any Quadrilateral and DC be the diagonal whose length is 20 cm.

Length of Diagonal of Quadrilateral AC= 20 cm

Perpendicular distance from vertex B to Diagonal AC=BM =7 cm

Perpendicular distance from vertex D to Diagonal AC=DN= 10 cm

Area of Quadrilateral ABCD = Area of ΔABC +Area of ΔDAC

                                             = 1/2×BM×AC+1/2×DN×AC

                                             = 1/2×AC×[BM+DN]

                                              = 1/2×20×(10+7)

                                               = 10 × 17

                                              = 170 cm²
