calculate the change in volume of an iron block 10cm×20cm×5cm if its temperature is raised from 10°c to 40°c.given, coefficient of linear expansion of iron=1.2×10-5 °c-1​

coefficient of volume expansion is three time more than coefficient of linear expansion=

3*1.2*10^-5= 3.6*10^-5°C

∆T = 40-10=30°C

V = 10*20*5 = 1000cm³

New volume V' = V(1+(3.6*10^-5)(∆T))

V' = 1000(1+3.6*10^-5*40)

V' = 1000*(1+ 144.4*10^-5)

V' = 1000 * (1.001)

V' = 1001 cm³
