 F= 1s2, 2s2, 2p5

Zeff = Z- S

Z is the number of protons in the atom

S is the shielding constant

0.35 is for s electrons

0.85 is for p electrons

       = 9 - [(0.35*6)+ (0.85*2)]

= 9-3.8

= 5.2
