Explanation:

1)Effective Resistance(total resistance)

*Resistance in parallel=1/R1+1/R2

=1/6+1/6=2/6

We have to reciprocal as it is of form 1/Rp.....So we get resistance in parallel is 3 ohm

Total resistance i.e,Rs=Rp+2

Hence we get Effective Resistance is 2+3=5 Ohm

2)Ammeter reading

R1=6,R2=3,R3=5,R4=4

V=9V;A=?

We know that,Rs=R1+R2=6+3=9Ω

Rs’=R3+R4=5+4=9Ω

Effective resistance =1/Rp=1/9+1/9=4.5Ω

We also know that V=IR

Therefore I=V/R

=9/4.5=90/45=2A
