Clearly , The resistance of 3 Ω and 2 Ω are connected in series combination

Thus ,

R = 3 + 2

R = 5 ohm

Also , the resistance of 3 Ω and 2 Ω are connected in series combination

Thus ,

R' = 5 ohm

Now , 1 Ω form a parrallel combination with R and R'

1/R" = 1/1 + 1/5 + 1/5

1/R" = 1 + 2/5

1/R" = 7/5

R" = 5/7 ohm

Hence , the equivalent resistance is 5/7 ohm
