This is a question from Chapter-Work and Energy Class 9th

Solution:

Step 1: Calculate energy consumed by 2 bulbs,2 Tube lights and 1 TV

For Bulbs=(2*p*t)=2*40*6=480 Wh

For Tube lights=(2*p*t)=2*50*8=800 Wh

For TV=p*t=120*6=720 Wh

Total energy consumed by all these electrical appliances in 1 day =480+800+720 Wh

=2000 Wh= 2 Kwh= 2 units (1 Kwh=1000 Wh)

Energy consumed by all these electrical appliances in 28 days= 2*28=56 units

Cost=units*Rate=56*2.50=Rs. 150

Therefore, Electricity bill= Rs. 150
