R1= 3 Ohm
R2= 6 Ohm
---------
Let R be the equivalent resistance
In parallel combination
1/R = 1/3 + 1/6
1/R = 1/2
R = 2 Ohms

Formula to find equivalent resistance in parralel-
1/R=1/R1+1/R2.......
1/R=1/3+1/6
1/R=1+2/6
1/R=3/6
1/R=1/2
so,R=2 ohm.

THERE IS ONE MORE METHOD TO FIND THE equivalent RESISTANCE IN PARALLEL, BUT THIS FORMULA WILL BE USED WHEN THERE WILL BE ONLY 2 RESISTANCES IN PARALLEL COMBINATION.

R1R2/R1+R2
=6×3/6+3
=18/9
=2 OHM.
