Answer:

Given :       Mass of earth    m=6×1024kg

                   Mass of Sun    M=2×1030kg

                  Distance between sun and earth       r=1.5×1011 m

Force of gravitation between them       F=r2GMm

F=(1.5×1011)26.67×10−11×(6×1024)×(2×1030)=3.557×1022  N

Question :-

Calculate the Force of Attraction between the Earth and the Sun.

Solution :-

The Mass of the Earth, M = \bold {6 \times 10^{24}\:kg}

The Mass of the Sun, m = \bold {2 \times 10^{30}\:kg}

The Distance between the Sun and the Earth, r = \bold {1.5 \times 10^{11}\:m}

Value of Universal Gravitational Constant, G = \bold {6.67 \times 10^{-11}\:Nm^2kg^{-2}}

∴ The Force of Attraction between the Earth and the Sun = \boxed {\bold {F = G \times \frac{M \times m}{r^2}}}

By Substituting the Values in the Formula, we get the Force of Attraction between the Earth and the Sun as : \bold {F = 3.557 \times 10^{22}\:N} *

Thus,

The Force of Attraction between the Earth and the Sun is \bold {F = 3.557 \times 10^{22}\:N}.
