frequency = velocity of light/wavelenght
                 =3x10 8 / 5500x10 -10
                 = 5.4x10 14Hz

wavelengh 1 = c/f1
                  =3x10 8 / 3.75x10 14
                  =0.8 x 10 -6
                  =8000 A
     
wavelenght 2 = c/f2
                       = 3x10 8 / 7.5x10 14
                  =0.4 x 10 -6
                  =4000 A
therefore,wavelength range is 4000 A to 8000 A

c = vλ or we can write this as: λ = c/v

First of all we will consider the first case:

λ₁ = c/v₁

c = 3 x 10⁸ m/s

v₁ = 3.75 x 10¹⁴ Hz

λ₁ = 3 x 10⁸ / 3.75 x 10¹⁴

= 0.8 x 10⁻⁶ m

Now we will consider the second case

λ₂ = c/v₂

c = 3 x 10⁸ m/s

v₂ = 7.5 x 10¹⁴ Hz

λ₂ = 3 x  10⁸ / 7.5 x 10¹⁴

= 0.4 x 10⁻⁶ m

So the wavelength range will be

0.4 x 10⁻⁶ m - 0.8 x 10⁻⁶ m
