v=18km/hr  convert into m/s  =5m/sec
 total mass calulate  with passenger and car m=500+2*50=600

new K.E=1/2MG^2
1*600/5^2=7500J

(a) Initial kinetic energy, K = 6250 J

(b) Final kinetic energy, K' = 7500 J

Explanation:

Given that,

Mass of the car, m = 500 kg

Velocity of the car, v = 18 km/h = 5 m/s

The kinetic energy of the car is given by :

K=\dfrac{1}{2}mv^2\\\\K=\dfrac{1}{2}\times 500\times (5)^2\\\\K=6250\ J

if two passengers of mass 50 kg each sit in the car, now, mass becomes :

m' = 500 + 50 + 50 = 600 kg

New kinetic energy :

K'=\dfrac{1}{2}m'v^2\\\\K'=\dfrac{1}{2}\times 600\times (5)^2\\\\K'=7500\ J

Hence, this is the required solution.
