Length of the tangent will be 12cm.

Radius of the circle = 9 cm (Given)

Distance to the tangent from the centre = 15 cm (Given)

Let length of the tangent be = x

(Distance from the centre)² = (radius)² + (length of the tangent)²

Therefore,

Length of tangent = (15)² - (9)²

= 225-81

= 144

= √144

= 12

Therefore, the length of the tangent is 12cm with the end points of diameter being parallel.
