area of shaded region = 4*area of semi circle = 4*pie * r2/2=22/7*14*14*1/2*4

Radius of the square = 28/4

                                   =7 cm

Length of the boundary = 4*pie*r

                                         = 4*22/7*7

                                         = 88 cm

Area of the four semicircles = 4*pie*r2/2

                                              =4*22/7*49*1/2

                                              =308 cm2

Area of the square = ( Side )2

                                = ( 14 )2

                                = 196 cm2

Area of the shaded region = Area of 4 semicircles + Area of the square

                                            =            308                   +            196

                                            =  504 cm2
