in the questions we find the longest side of a right angle triangle.

in the questions two side already given,

like perpendicular equal to 12cm base 5cm. we find longest side hypotenuse.


in the questions we using formula .

 {h}^{2}  =  {p}^{2}  +  {b}^{2}  \\  \\ {h}^{2}  =  {12}^{2}  +  {5}^{2} \\  \\  {h}^{2}  = 144 + 25 \\  \\  {h}^{2}  =169 \\  \\  {h}^{2}  =  \sqrt{169}  \\  \\  {h}^{2}  =  \sqrt{13 \times 13}  \\  \\ h \:  = 13

therefore the we find the longest side of triangle is equal to 13cm.

hypotenuse = 13cm

perpendicular= 12cm

base = 5cm
