hi buddy

i guess your question is wrong

the question must be

calculate the mass of Co2 and CaO obtained when 1.5 mole of caco3 is heated

as cao and co2 is npt obtained from co3

here is your answer

CaCO3----heat----> CaO+ CO2

then 1 mole of CaCO3 produces 1 mole of CO2 and 1 mole of CaO

mass of 1.5 mole of caco3= mass of 1 mole of caco3*1.5=150 gm

then 1.5 mole of CaCO3 produces 1.5 mole of CO2 and 1.5 mole of CaO

mass of CaO produced= 1.5*56=84 gm

mass of co2 produced= 1.5*44=66 gm

hope this helps buddy
