Calculate the mass of following
0.5 moles of calcium carbonate
0.01 mole of nitrogen gas

1. calcium carbonate { CaCO3}

mass of calcium = 40 u

mass of carbon = 12 u

mass of oxygen = 16 u x 3 = 48 u

molar mass = 40 u + 12 u+ 48 u = 100  u / g

no.of moles = given mass/molar mass

0.5 = given mass / 100

0.5 x 100 = required mass

50 x avagadro's number

50 x 6.022 x 10 power 23

301.1 x 10 power 23
