Given :

  • Concentration = 0.75 M
  • Volume of solution = 25ml

To find :

Mass of HCl in given solution

Formula used :

  • Molarity = Number of mole of solute ÷ Volume of solution (in L)
  • Number of mole = mass ÷ molar mass

Additional points :

  • Molar mass of HCl = 36.5 g/mol
  • 1 L = 1000 ml

Solution :

First of all, we need to find Number of moles in given volume of solution

➝ Number of moles = Molarity × volume of solution ( in L)

➝ Number of moles = (0.75) × (25 ÷ 1000)

➝ Number of moles = 0.001875 moles

Now we need to find , mass of HCl which will contain this much moles

➝ Number of moles = mass ÷ molar mass

➝ Mass = (0.001875) × (36.5)

➝ Mass ≈ 0.0685 grams

➝ Mass = 68.5 mg

ANSWER :

Mass of HCl = 0.0685 grams = 68.5 mg
