Quantity of electricity (Q) = Current (I) x time (t) - Time in seconds
Q = It
= 0.5 x 40 x 60 = 1200 Coulombs
From Faraday's Law 96500 Coulombs ≡ 1 mole of electrons
∴ 1200 C = (1200 x 1)/96500 = 0.01244 moles

1 hydrogen ion require 1 electron to form 1 hydrogen atom
⇒ 1 mole of hydrogen ions require 1 mole of electrons
∴ The number of moles of hydrogen atoms = 0.01244 moles
∴ Mass of hydrogen gas = 0.01244 x 1 (RAM of H = 1)
                                         = 0.01244 g
